QUT Urban Country Music Festival Bush Poetry Competition
The smell of a traditional bush breakfast of sausage, egg, and bacon waft, from the Historical Village, welcoming all bush poet enthusiasts.
Bush poetry is defined as poetry with good rhyme and metre written by an Australian and/or about Australians or Australia – its places or things. Poets can enter their poems into the open or junior sections, which are open to local, interstate and international poets with a love of Australia, the people and the way of life.
Winners of the QUT Urban Country Music Festival Bush Poetry Competition have the opportunity to present their poems at the last breakfast of the festival.
