Gerald Diffey at 'A Day in Carlton'
Join Readings for 24-hours celebrating books, culture and community.
Writing about food always leads to the same conclusion: the people around the table are as important as the food served. Our dinner-party guests will be breaking bread with Christine Gordon, Readings’ own cookbook reviewer.
‘I think the trick here is to learn something new about each of our guests. I want a confession.’ —Christine Gordon
Gerald Diffey has spent four decades immersed in the world of food, wine and hospitality. He established the award-winning Gerald’s Bar in North Carlton, which Heston Blumenthal described as ‘a proper, proper old-fashioned sort of bar’.
Gerald will be joined by Kate Reid and Besha Rodell.
The Readings pop-up bookshop will be open at this event. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
